Utvärdering av coronafonden genomfördes på onsdagen av budgetkontrollutskottet. Jag var mycket kritisk till hur miljarderna rullar och kontrollerna är svaga.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility was launched in a moment of crisis—but now, with the benefit of hindsight, we must be honest about its flaws.
We were told this was a performance-based tool, yet there was little performance in the way we defined or measured it. Milestones became checkboxes—focused on outputs, not real outcomes.
And then we have the question about accountability. The rules were vague, open to interpretation, and not applied consistently. Some member states were held to higher standards than others. Meanwhile, critical safeguards—like public procurement checks—were either weak or missing altogether.
Yes, the RRF helped disburse funds quickly. But quick is not the same as right. We cannot afford to repeat these mistakes. If we want trust in EU instruments, we need clarity, transparency, and a real link between grants and results.
